Microsclerotherapy

Treat spider & thread veins with Microsclerotherapy at Town House Clinic.

What is Microsclerotherapy?

Microsclerotherapy is a technique used for the removal of surface and spider veins which appear on the legs.

Is Microsclerotherapy successful?

Injection is considered the gold standard treatment for treating leg veins, and generally results in a 60-70% reduction in thread leg veins.  However, the area may look worse before it gets better (so treatments should be done a couple of months prior to a swimsuit holiday, for example).  In order to be effective, strict aftercare instructions must be followed.  If you think you’d like to have your veins treated, come in for a free consultation to discuss what’s involved.

Is Microsclerotherapy safe?

Microsclerotherapy is a safe and very effective method of removing unsightly, superficial spider veins and thread veins.  A medical solution – a sclerosing agent – is injected directly into these broken veins using a very fine needle. The solution irritates the lining of the thread vein, causing the walls of the vein to stick together. Blood stops flowing through the leg veins and they collapse. Then, over a period of 2-4 weeks, the residue is absorbed by the body’s natural defence mechanism.

OVER A COURSE OF Microsclerotherapy TREATMENTS, UNWANTED LEG VEINS WILL DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY.
