Frown lines, aka The 11s
Frown lines are the vertical creases that form between the eyebrows, usually from repeated expressions like frowning, squinting or furrowing the brow. Over time, the muscles beneath the skin contract in the same way so often that the line becomes visible even at rest. This is one of the most common and most treatable areas of the face.
Nasolabial lines
Often called smile lines, these are the creases that run from the sides of the nose down to the corners of the mouth. They become more noticeable as skin loses volume and elasticity with age.
Marionette lines
Marionette lines run from the corners of the mouth down towards the jawline, and can give the face a sad or tired look even when you are not feeling that way. They form as the lower face loses volume over time.
Wrinkles on the hands, neck and chest
Skin on the hands, neck and chest is often thinner and more delicate than facial skin, which means lines and wrinkles here can appear earlier and more prominently. This area is frequently overlooked in a skincare routine even though it shows age just as clearly as the face.
