How many treatments will I need?
Results are often visible from around two weeks, with treatments spaced roughly 4 weeks apart to allow for maximum collagen production. Full improvement tends to peak around 6 months after your final session. For anti-ageing concerns, a course of 3 treatments is typically recommended; scarring and stretch marks usually need more.
Recovery
Skin will look a little red, similar to mild sunburn, straight after treatment, but this settles quickly. Some dryness or light flaking is normal in the days that follow, as the top layer of skin renews itself. Skin will be more sensitive to the sun during this time, so SPF is important. Most people need little to no downtime and can return to normal activities the same day.
How it works
From around age 20, we naturally produce about 1% less collagen every year, and this becomes visible in the skin from around age 30. Dermal needling uses a pen-like tool to create thousands of tiny, precise pricks in the skin. This stimulates the skin's own repair process, encouraging it to produce fresh collagen and elastin so it behaves more like younger skin, improving tone, texture and firmness from within.
