How it works
Tixel uses a grid of 81 tiny pyramids to deliver controlled heat to the skin, rather than light as traditional lasers do. This creates a pattern of controlled damage that prompts the skin to remodel and repair itself, improving pigmentation, fine lines and scarring. Because it uses heat rather than laser, it can be safely used right up to the lash line, making it particularly suited to treating the delicate eye area. It's also less painful than laser treatment, with a shorter recovery time. For optimal results, 3 to 5 treatments are usually recommended.
What results can I expect?
Tixel can help remove fine lines and wrinkles, clear age spots and pigmentation, and improve the overall luminosity and quality of the skin. It's safe for all skin types and ethnicities, and can be used on the eyes, face, neck, hands and décolletage.
Recovery
Because Tixel is an ablative treatment, you will be able to see visibly that you've had treatment for a short period afterwards, so many people choose to have it done on a Friday or Saturday to allow the weekend to recover. Normal daily activities can be resumed straight away, and mineral makeup can be applied if needed.
